As an Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of our financial operations from A to Z under Belgian law - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability in everything we do. 🌟
Your Mission
🚀 How you'll make an impact:
- Manage all accounting processes from A to Z, in line with Belgian GAAP and tax legislation
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate with auditors
- Handle VAT, corporate tax, and other local compliance requirements
- Monitor cash flow, payroll accounting, and expense control
- Collaborate with management and the supply chain team to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions
- Continuously optimize accounting processes for efficiency and scalability
🧩 What makes you a great fit:
- 7+ years of professional experience in accounting under Belgian law
- Solid expertise in A to Z accounting, yearly closing, reconciliation and statutory reporting
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, VAT, and corporate tax compliance
- Experience working with auditors and external advisors
- Proficiency in accounting tools and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is a plus)
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch and/or French
- Hands-on, structured, and proactive - ready to take ownership and bring clarity to the numbers
