Your Impact:

As a Software Engineer – ML/AI at Deliverect, you'll be a visionary architect, wielding the power of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionise the digital ordering landscape. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, spearheading the development of cutting-edge ML/AI solutions that propel our SaaS products to new heights.

Through strategic thinking and a passion for experimentation, you'll not only guide our team towards groundbreaking solutions, but also empower our clients, the leading restaurants and foodservice providers, to achieve unprecedented growth and customer satisfaction. Your efforts will solidify Deliverect's position as a leader in the digital ordering revolution, shaping the future of foodservice and transforming how people interact with their favourite brands.

A Typical Day:

Design and implement video-based ML/AI models, focusing on real-time object detection and interactions.
Develop solutions that can detect and track multiple objects in live video streams, identifying key actions relevant to our hospitality applications.
Design and implement ML/AI solutions to optimise and improve our SaaS product. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align experimental goals with business objectives.
Spearhead the development of proof-of-concepts, working closely with product managers and fellow engineers.
Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on solutions to validate feasibility and impact.
Analyse large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns, guiding the development of robust solutions.
Apply statistical methods to evaluate the success of experiments and iterate on models for continuous improvement.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in relevant technologies and assess their applicability to our SaaS product.
Conduct research on emerging tools and frameworks, making recommendations for integration.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, data science, and software engineering, to align ML/AI capabilities with business goals.
Participate in agile development processes, providing technical expertise in production-ready ML/AI solutions development.
Document experiment methodologies, coding practices, and solution implementations.
Create technical documentation and specifications for feature integrations.

Your Expertise:

2+ years experience with ML/AI frameworks (such as PyTorch, YOLO, or others) including techniques for hyperparameter tuning to enhance model performance.
Proven proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in relevant frameworks.
Experience with ML/AI for image and video processing
Previous experience of scaling ML/AI systems on the backend are highly desirable.
Ability to help the team to quickly adopt ML/AI technologies
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and design effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
