Your Impact
As an Events Intern at Deliverect, you will join our Global Marketing team and will be instrumental in supporting key initiatives/ events that create memorable experiences, build brand awareness, promote our products, and strengthen customer relationships. As an intern, you'll get hands-on experience in event planning, logistics, and marketing, while learning how our global team pulls off impactful events.You'll work alongside the Global Marketing team, the UK go-to-market (GTM) team as well as the global Strategic Accounts team, helping with a wide range of projects relating to everything from planning and organising to collaborating on creative ideas and event activations. This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in executing B2B event strategies while making a tangible impact on the company's growth.
A Typical Day
- Assist the global team in the planning and execution of events, including webinars, conferences, private dinners, and happy hours. Plan timelines, manage budgets, and handle logistics for key global and regional UK events.
- Work with local and international suppliers and venues to lock in event details and ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Pitch in with pre-event promotional campaigns & communications, like email marketing, social media, and event-related communication.
- Oversee the coordination and production of all branded elements at live events, from selecting and managing promotional items and larger giveaways to designing printed materials (flyers, banners) and trade show booth production. Ensure consistency in brand presentation across all events.
- Assist with attendee registration, gather feedback, compile data, and help create post-event reports.
- Stay on top of global event trends, such as new technologies, sustainability practices, and hybrid event formats.
Your Expertise
- Currently pursuing a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Interest in both virtual and in-person event planning, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with tools such as Sprout Social, Canva, Figma, Jira, HubSpot, and other marketing automation software.
- Proficient in Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs.
- Previous experience in B2B events, technology marketing, or the hospitality/restaurant industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hardworking, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Self-starter and proactive team player who actively contributes and collaborates.
- Eager to learn about event planning and global execution.
- Basic understanding of marketing strategies, including social media and email campaigns.
- Fluent in English with valid UK work authorisation for the internship duration.
Additional Information
- This role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in office and 2 day work from home. The internship is a duration of 6 months.
- Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills being essential.
- A valid right to work status in the UK is required for the whole duration of this assignment.
