About the team & the role
The Growth team’s mission at Happeo is to make intranets cool, simple, and to ensure that any team and company could benefit from it.
In 2023, we launched a few big experiments including adding a free trial experience with self-service purchase capabilities - we’re the first player in the intranet market to allow that. We’re seeing great traction, and we’ve also learned a lot. We’re now looking to improve and scale this go-to-market motion in 2024 - and we’re going to need you for that.
The Growth team consists of a Senior Full stack / Backend Engineer (this is you!), Senior Frontend Engineer, Principal Designer, Senior Product Analyst, Senior Growth Marketing Manager and a Growth Product Manager. The team is going to collaborate with Core Product, Platform, Ops and GTM teams regularly.
So what does this mean in practice?
For this position, we’re looking for an extremely passionate individual to join our small but mighty team to help us throw our PLG motion into overdrive. This includes working on a wide variety of areas:

Acquisition: exposing product capabilities on our public website, and adding various new integrations and improving currently existing ones;
Activation: signup and onboarding flows, creating personalised user journeys;
Virality: mechanisms for inviting users/joining existing environments;
Monetization: deepening our billing integration for self-service purchases;
Infrastructure: tracking the customer journey from ad to checkout;
Experimentation: conversion rate optimisation and A/B testing.
What you bring
5+ years of Java experience
Experience with Node.js, and React
An entrepreneurial, data driven, product development mindset
Customer oriented attitude
Good understanding of building, testing and observing microservices, REST APIs and event driven architectures
A DevOps mindset and experience developing applications that run on the cloud
Experience with tracking, analytics, and if possible A/B testing and feature flagging tools
Based in or willing to relocate to Finland
