The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in leading the setup, deployment, and optimization of NGDATA’s SaaS solutions, with a focus on Apache NiFi and cloud environments. This role is vital for ensuring successful implementation and integration of technologies, enhancing client satisfaction, and driving high-quality service delivery. The position directly contributes to the organization’s goal of delivering personalized, data-driven experiences through effective cloud and data management.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Main responsibilities
- Lead the setup and deployment of SaaS solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs
- Design, configure, and optimize data flows using Apache NiFi
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and integrate software components
- Engage with clients to provide technical guidance and address implementation issues
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and best practices
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
Additional / occasional tasks
- Participate in client meetings and provide technical insights
- Conduct training sessions or workshops for clients on system usage and best practices
Leadership Workload
- This position involves approximately 20% leadership tasks, including mentoring junior team members and leading implementation projects, with the remaining 80% focused on technical tasks.
Competence Profile
Background / Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Experience / Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in DevOps roles with experience in SaaS implementations and cloud solutions
- Extensive experience with Apache NiFi for data flow design and management
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
