About the role

We are in search of a talented Planning Optimization Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Planning Optimization Engineer at Timefold, you will be instrumental in crafting advanced AI planning models and contributing to the evolution of our optimization solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand planning challenges
• Develop, implement, fine-tune, and maintain planning optimization models
• Work closely with clients to gather requirements and customize models
• Analyze and enhance the performance of existing optimization models
• Build the core commercial elements of our product offering
  

Key Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java
• Ideally you have experience writing OptaPlanner or Timefold models (not strictly required)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with optimization techniques and modeling is preferred
• Detail-oriented with a passion for crafting precise planning models
• Fluent in English
• Ability to work collaboratively in a technical environment
