Our headquarters are in Ghent, Belgium, in the magnificent and iconic Wintercircus building. The team operates remotely from various locations with hubs in Belgium, Czech Republic, and the US.
About the role
We are in search of a talented Site Reliability & Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Site Reliability & Security Engineer at Timefold, you will be instrumental in making sure our SaaS environment is up and running, at performance, and that its security meets the industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and performance
- Develop, implement, and maintain security architectures for both on-premises and cloud-based systems, including network security, data protection, and access controls
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline security and reliability tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention
- Set up and manage robust monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to security threats, performance issues, and infrastructure anomalies in real-time
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices in security and reliability
Key Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in systems administration, network security, and cloud computing platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- In-depth understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies, including encryption, authentication, access control, intrusion detection/prevention, and security incident response
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm charts
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation
- Experience with incident response management is a plus
- Knowledge of ISO-27001 / SOC2 compliance is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a technical environment
